Vishnu Ravi, MD

Vishnu Ravi is an internal medicine physician and software engineer experienced in creating digital health solutions leveraging mobile, wearable, and connected medical devices, health data interoperability standards such as HL7 FHIR, and machine learning.

He did early work on clinical applications for conversational agents and extracting insights from unstructured health data. He has also co-founded a digital health startup, developed solutions for COVID-19 that were deployed internationally, and contributed to the first family of international mobile health data standards via the IEEE.

Vishnu is currently the Lead Architect of the Building for Digital Health program and the CardinalKit framework at the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign. He also teaches CS342, a course in real-world digital health app development at Stanford University, and practices primary care.
